This series emerged after I was done painting the Pamsula Series. And it feels like a natural progression. I am not painting things or creatures, fish, moths or butterflies because I don't see the world as "things" or separate objects. I am painting a creature in a field and the two cannot be separated. I am painting the butterfly-ness or the fish-ness which we don't actually experience because we randomly give names and concepts to things. But with insight we begin to relax our fixation on the thing itself and in doing so plant a seed known as buddha nature in our mind. If we begin to pay attention in this way, there is always some kind of basic intelligence taking place.
